Restaurants Rate Greasiest Kitchen Messes By Beth Holloway
Two trends in American dining habits are impacting the kitchens of restaurants throughout the country. One is how often we like to dine out. Statistics show restaurants are getting quite a workout, with the average American adult eating a meal away from home 4.2 times a week.
The second trend is the growing desire to eat healthfully. A 2002 public opinion survey from the American Dietetic Association shows that the largest percentage of adults in the survey's history - 38% - said they have made significant adjustments in their eating behavior during the past two years to achieve a healthful, nutritious diet.
